Finite Element Analysis: Carabiner

Using both maths and computer modelling to work out if the safety rating of a carabiner was correct. This project required the use of Abaqus and NX as well as practical testing to determine if the carabiner's safety rating matched up with the FEA using each software. The project increased my confidence in advanced maths and taught me new software's with Abaqus and NX FEA.
